The Dental Anesthesiologist plays a crucial role in providing high-level anesthesia care to pediatric patients during in-office surgeries. This position involves collaboration with Pediatric Dentists to optimize patient experiences, particularly for those requiring specialized anesthetic services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high level anesthesia care to pediatric patients during Office-Based surgery days.
- Work alongside Pediatric Dentists, adapting to different clinical environments and optimizing patient cooperation through skilled anesthetic administration and airway management.
- Focusing on patients who require more than local anesthesia, such as children with dental anxiety, pediatric patients, or those with specific physical or cognitive disabilities.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency.
- Current, valid medical or dental license in good standing.
- Required certifications include PALS, BLS, DEA, etc.
- Demonstrated capability in anesthesia delivery, including intravenous deep sedation and general anesthesia.
- Ability to work closely with dental teams, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
