Job Description
As a Dental Anesthesiologist at Sunnybrook Dentistry & Braces, you will provide specialized anesthesiology care in a dental setting, focusing on pediatric patients. Your role involves collaborating with Pediatric Dentists to ensure safe and effective anesthesia during office-based surgeries, addressing the needs of children with dental anxiety or specific concerns.
- Provide high-level anesthesia care to pediatric patients during Office-Based surgery days.
- Work alongside Pediatric Dentists, optimizing patient cooperation through skilled anesthetic administration and airway management.
- Focus on patients who require more than local anesthesia, such as children with dental anxiety, pediatric patients, or those with physical or cognitive disabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency.
- Current, valid medical or dental license in good standing, along with required certifications including PALS, BLS, DEA, etc.
- Demonstrated capability in anesthesia delivery, including intravenous deep sedation and general anesthesia.
- Ability to work closely with dental teams, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
