Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Anesthesiologist to support our Pediatric Dentist during in-office surgery days. As a Dental Anesthesiologist at Sunnybrook Dentistry & Braces, you will provide anesthesia care for pediatric patients during in-office surgeries, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized anesthesiology services within a dental practice, adapting to different clinical environments alongside a Pediatric Dentist.
- Collaborate closely with Pediatric Dentists, optimizing patient cooperation through skilled anesthetic administration and airway management.
- Focus on patients who require more than local anesthesia, such as children with dental anxiety, pediatric patients, or those with specific physical or cognitive needs.
Qualifications
- Candidate must have an educational background in an accredited Anesthesiology Residency program.
- Current, valid medical or dental license in good standing, along with required certifications like PALS, BLS, DEA, etc.
- Demonstrated capability in anesthesia delivery, including intravenous deep sedation and general anesthesia.
- Ability to work closely with dental teams, including surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
