Position Overview & General Responsibilities
The PRN Clinic Nurse will coordinate and oversee clinical services within the clinic, including medical and dental offices, therapy services, foot care, and employee health, including new employee health assessments and job-related injury evaluations. Additionally, the role involves responding to "off-the-hook" phone calls for the Village, assessing residents' needs, and managing the extra duty sitter program to ensure all requirements are met. This is a flexible, on-demand position that supports the smooth operation of clinical services within the organization.

Position Overview & General Responsibilities
The PRN Clinic Nurse will coordinate and oversee clinical services within the clinic, including medical and dental offices, therapy services, foot care, and employee health, including new employee health assessments and job-related injury evaluations. Additionally, the role involves responding to "off-the-hook" phone calls for the Village, assessing residents' needs, and managing the extra duty sitter program to ensure all requirements are met. This is a flexible, on-demand position that supports the smooth operation of clinical services within the organization.
- Assist physicians during office hours, follow through on orders for Highlands and Village residents, and monitor resident charts from all areas.
- Administer required employee health assessments, including PPD, urine drug screens, and initial health evaluations, and coordinate annual influenza, tuberculosis, and hepatitis injections for all employees.
- Provide first aid treatment for residents and employees, manage workers' compensation claims with HR, and follow-up on any blood and bodily fluid exposures, ensuring necessary paperwork is completed.
- Perform various diagnostic tasks, such as EKGs, glucose tests, urine checks, and pacemaker checks, while coordinating hearing aid services and ensuring compliance with all clinical procedures and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications:
- Currently licensed nurse with the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Must have CPR, First Aid and AED certification.
- Ability to work with confidential information and maintain its’ integrity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong phone etiquette.
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and having good organizational skills.
- Strong customer service skills; maintain a hospitality approach to engaging with all individuals.
