Location: 3935 Sunnyside Drive, On-Site Restaurant at Highlands Dining 1912 Bistro
Full Time: Morning Shift (7AM-3PM), Rotating Weekends.
Position Overview & General Responsibilities
At Sunnyside’s on-site restaurant, we serve more than just delicious meals—we create unforgettable dining experiences for our residents and guests every day! As a Full-Time Server, you’ll be at the heart of it all, helping residents and guests start their day in the right place and crafting a warm, welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. We're looking for an energetic and positive team player who loves connecting with people and delivering exceptional service in our upscale, casual environment. - Provide excellent service to residents and guests, ensuring their dining experience is exceptional.
- Set the tone for a welcoming atmosphere, greeting all guests with a friendly smile and maintaining a positive, professional demeanor.
- Ensure food and beverages are served correctly and promptly while maintaining a clean and safe dining area.
- Work with kitchen staff to coordinate food orders and ensure accuracy and presentation of dishes.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, setting a good example for others.
- Complete required in-services, training, and meetings as directed by Sunnyside, including compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Promote a safe working environment by following safety guidelines, housekeeping practices, and equipment handling procedures.
- Show initiative and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected situations calmly and efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, guests, and co-workers, ensuring that all concerns or requests are addressed in a timely manner.
- Work as part of a team, contributing to a positive work environment and assisting fellow team members when needed.

Requirements
- Having prior experience in the restaurant/dining field is a plus
- Ability to process information accurately, make appropriate decisions, and take appropriate action based on the information available
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills; maintain a hospitality approach to engaging with all individuals
Physical & Environmental Considerations:
This job operates indoors in a general kitchen and dining room environment with varying floor surfaces. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to routinely sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 30 lbs or less and occasionally more than 50 lbs. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. General hazards related to operation of kitchen equipment as well as exposure to sanitizing and cleaning chemicals and wet floor surfaces which require slip-resistant shoes. Minimal hazards if universal precautions are followed.
