Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Social Services to lead our team in providing high-quality support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of social work, behavioral health, and program management. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to foster relationships within the community while ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development and implementation of social service programs aimed at supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Manage daily operations, ensuring that all services are delivered effectively and efficiently.
• Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and families to enhance service delivery.
• Administer budgets for social service programs, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.
• Conduct program evaluations to assess effectiveness and implement improvements as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies related to social services.
• Lead initiatives for program development that align with the organization's mission and goals.

Skills

• Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Strong relationship management skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices.
• Administrative expertise in managing operations within a social services environment.
• Supervisory experience in leading teams towards achieving organizational objectives.
• Proficient in program management, including planning, execution, and evaluation of services.
• Budgeting skills to ensure responsible financial management of programs.
• Background in social work or related fields is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Social service in a skilled nursing facility: 1 year (Preferred)
