DEFINITION
Work directly with and support CTE instructors who manage CTE programs and students. This individual will be guided by the instructor to gain comprehensive knowledge of CTE program operations, preparing them to eventually assume the instructor role.
Essential Functions

REPORTS TO: Site Administrator
TASKS
Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization.
Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Knowledge of District policies and procedures
Must be willing to develop knowledge of technical equipment, programs and software as needed.
Must be willing to develop knowledge of special education or special needs accommodations.
Must have a valid driver license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in an indoor and in a garage environment. Work requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, repetitive motion, vision to monitor and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and actively working on obtaining a CTE Certification pertinent to the CTE program they support.
Salary Grade: L Hourly Pay: $21.75 Hours per Day: 8 Days in Contract: 211 Start Date: 2025/2026 School Year

- Follow through with CTE program standards and workplace employability standards delivery.
- Assist classroom teacher in helping students develop technical skills.
- Assist classroom teacher in helping students develop technical skills for the specific subject setting (such as a chemistry/biology lab, engineering environment, etc.).
- Participate as an active member of the Academy education team.
- Collect data on academic and/or behavioral outcomes as needed.
- Prepare lesson plans and provide direct instruction as directed by the teachers.
- Assist teachers in maintaining records of attendance, communication with parents and updating student files.
- Assist teachers with managing student use of supply and equipment inventory, making copies, filing paperwork and grading homework.
- Work collaboratively with teaching teams.
- Accompany students on community experiences; may transport students in district vehicles.
- Assist in supervision of students during instruction, transportation, and lab time.
- Assist in sustaining a positive learning community for staff and students.
- Participate actively in the site improvement plan activities.
- Ensure a healthy and safe environment.
- Document any student-related incidents or injuries and perform related duties as assigned.
- Participate in any training or in-services provided to the school staff at the direction of the principal.
- If position is part of the PCJTED Teacher Intern program, must follow requirements as requested by PCJTED.
