Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team at our gas station. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that each customer has a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
• Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions and resolve any issues.
• Maintain a clean and well stocked store.
• Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service.

Skills

• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle various payment methods confidently.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 34 per week

Shift:

• Day shift
• Evening shift

• Are you at least 18 years of age with non expired license or photo ID along with your birth certificate or social sec card?
• Looking for evening help primarily during the week. Shifts starting as early as 3pm and ending as late as 12:15am. Weekends need occasional daytime help 8a-4p or 9a-5p, as well as the evening shift on Saturdays. Part time to start, 3-4 shifts per week likely. Does this work for you?
• Are you able to lift for stocking purposes?
• Do you like to work with the public and do you have good customer service skills?
