We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Cashier to join our retail team. Duties
- Supervise daily cash register operations, ensuring accuracy in transactions and maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting customers with their purchases.
- Train and mentor new cashiers on cash register procedures, customer service techniques, and store policies.
- Promote upselling techniques to enhance sales and improve customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory management to ensure product availability.
- Demonstrate products as needed to educate customers on features and benefits.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with management to implement promotional strategies that drive sales.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or as a cashier is required; supervisory experience is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash registers is essential.
- Strong basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Experience in stock management and product demonstrations is advantageous.
