Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately to process sales transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Provide product demonstrations and share knowledge about promotions to enhance customer engagement.
- Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining the organization of the sales floor.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Supervise junior staff as needed, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and POS systems is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in grocery store settings or similar retail environments is a plus.
