Job Summary :

The System Administrator is mainly responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing all endpoint devices within the organization's network. This role ensures the smooth operation of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other endpoint hardware and software. The System Administrator will collaborate with IT teams to implement policies, manage updates, and troubleshoot issues, ensuring optimal performance and security of all endpoint systems. Working directly with end users, software support and vendors assist with training and implementation as needed.

This position requires knowledge of desktop operating systems, Microsoft 365 (all included applications), Apple (iOS) & Android OS, Active Directory, Intune, Microsoft Entra (Azure Active Directory), SCCM, Ticking Systems (ServiceNow preferred), and TeamViewer. A good understanding of networking principles is required. This role primarily focuses on endpoint management, with secondary duties involving the broader Microsoft technical stack. Additional tasks will include working in various areas of this technology. Overall, flexibility in handling various aspects of the Microsoft technical stack is required.

Candidates will need to be a highly motivated, self-starter, demonstrate initiative, strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a team, while also assuming individual responsibility for his or her work.

Essential Functions of the Job :

  • Manage, maintain, and secure all endpoint devices within the organization's network.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other endpoint hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement policies, manage updates, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure optimal performance and security of all endpoint systems.
  • Work directly with end users, software support, and vendors to assist with training and implementation as needed
  • Remote problem triage (break / fix), resolution, and recording / reporting
  • Image creation and maintenance for devices using PXE boot, Autopilot, USB drives, etc.
  • Troubleshooting problems using KT Method
  • Asset management
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation
  • Researching and learning new and existing technologies
  • Individual and team project management

Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • None.
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Five or more years relevant work experience
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, detail-oriented, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with both technical and non-technical users
  • Preferred Knowledge :

    Ability to learn quickly using Google or technical manuals, Desktop Administration, End-User Support, Microsoft Windows Client and Server Operating Systems, Mobile Device Management, Call-Tracking System (ServiceNow), Printer Services, Ricoh Printers, Sentinel, Cisco Umbrella, Network Protection Services, Certificate Services, IP Telephony Devices, API Call Integration, BarTender Software, PowerApps, Power BI, Meraki Portal, Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), RFgen, KnowBe4, Openpath, Redzone, Rockwell Automation, ServiceNow, Varonis, WinSCP

  • Additional Considerations :

  • Travel Expectation : Up to 10% including travel to Canada.
  • This role is a remote work position
  • Must be available for escalations during an on-call rotation : nights, weekends, and holidays; occasional travel to out-of-town locations will be required.
  • Relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be considered.
  • Work Environment / Physical Demands :

  • Approximately 90% of the work is performed in an office environment. 10% of work may involve being in the agricultural or manufacturing environment.
