JOB TITLE: Area Manager - Western ID
REPORTING TO: Associate Vice President
DIVISIONS: Millwork, Lumber, or Retail
FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Associate Vice President, the Area Manager is responsible for leading all operations for Sunpro's core businesses, leading the workforce and carrying out the strategic direction of the organization of the Area assigned.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
- Visualize, define, plan, communicate, and implement the company vision and core values.
- Responsible for Profit & Loss of the organization in the assigned geographical area.
- Lead by example and mentor personnel involved in building materials, retail operations, sales, yard inventory, estimating, equipment operators, truck drivers, subcontractors, etc.
- Ensures appropriate staffing at all levels with the appropriate certification requirements.
- Maintain recruiting, hiring, promotion, and corrective action plans for all area staff members.
- Project, organize, and implement annual budgets and work under contract.
- Oversee the distribution of equipment, personnel, and other building materials related resources.
- Ensure that all sites comply with safety and environmental requirements
- Perform other duties as may be required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to lead and function effectively as part of a high-performance team.
- Ability to achieve performance objectives in a time-sensitive and quality-centered environment.
- Demonstrate initiative and reliability with minimal supervision.
- Understand and manage financial statements and reports.
- Demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Bachelor of Science in management or related field.
- Ten years of managing high performing teams
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Sedentary work, requiring regular lifting up to 10lbs and occasional lifting up to 25
- Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office
