JOB TITLE: Cashier
JOB LOCATION: Springville Hardware Store, UT
STATUS: Part-time - Morning/Day Shift
FUNCTION: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers in locating products and efficiently processing sales at the register.
Key Activities:
- Provide high-quality customer service, demonstrating concern and patience in all customer interactions;
- Receive payment for customer purchases;
- Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions;
- Maintain cash drawer and assume accountability for all cash, checks, and receipts, etc.;
- Perform Daily Inventory Counts;
- Replenish displays and shelves as needed;
- Maintain a clean and professional working environment;
- Adhere to all federal, state and local laws and regulations and company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities;
- Basic math skills to calculate prices and provide accurate change;
- Ability to effectively multitask and to work with minimal supervision;
- Provide regular and predictable attendance;
- Prior cashier/retail experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical Work Requirements - Medium: exerting up to 15 lbs. of force regularly;
- Repetitive motion associated with operating a register and other retail equipment;
- Frequent bending, standing, or lifting.
