Title: - IT Lab Tech
Location: Collegeville, PA (Onsite)
Duration: 6 months Contract (potential to extend to 1 year )
Note: The candidate should be fine to work onsite from day one. Background and drug screen required
Job description:
Our client in the pharma space is seeking an onsite IT scientific Lab resource because of an uptick in Linux based projects and vendor systems. Candidate will be working alongside the networking team to ensure proper alignment with Operational Technology initiatives. Good negotiation skills to determine if an OT network is needed.
- Proficiency in Linux, programming, system-level testing and debugging tools.
- Experience with cloud computing, specifically with the Azure cloud ecosystem (though this is really just limited to the scope of getting data into a storage blob).
- Technical proficiency with building, modifying, and adapting electrical circuitry and Raspberry Pi technologies.
- Experience in leading system maintenance, improving operational efficiency, and managing future system upgrades.
- Experience in documenting processes and monitoring system performance metrics.
- Willingness to provide after-hours support in case of emergencies or system failures.
- Communication and customer service skills. This individual will need to be comfortable operating in a scientific research environment that contains animals.
Must:
- RedHat Linux (programming, scripting)
- Azure Cloud (moving data into the storage blob)
- Electrical Circuitry
- Raspberry Pi
- Operations experience (systems maintenance, improving operational efficiency, managing future upgrades, documentation, evaluating systems performance)
- After hours support (there isn t an on-call shift but potential for the need to mitigate problems with business critical lab equipment and/or computers)
- Flexible with schedule for occasional after hours upgrades to business critical machines during non-production hours
- Excellent Customer service skills
- Comfortable in Scientific Research Lab testing on animals
