A high school art teacher guides students in exploring and developing their artistic abilities, teaching them various art techniques, history, and concepts through boththeoretical and hands-on experiences.
Qualifications, Education, and Certification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred Valid Texas teaching certificate preferred Expectations, Special Knowledge, and Skills:
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Classroom management skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to develop and execute engaging lesson plans
• Ability to communicate with students, families, and staff
• Proficient active listening skills
• Leadership skills
• Patience for working with students Salary: The position is paid according to the district step and stipend schedules. Job will be posted until filled.
