Elementary Music Teacher for 2024-2025
Qualifications, Education, and Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred
Valid Texas teaching certificate preferred
Expectations, Special Knowledge, and Skills:
Expected to follow the TEKS for music
Knowledge of music education and how to develop an appreciation for music in children
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Classroom management skills
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Expected to organize and direct a Veteran’s Day program and a Christmas program for the community
Expected to assist with organizing and hosting spring activities for elementary students and families
Salary:
The position is paid according to the district step and stipend schedules.
