Job Overview
Provides vocational rehabilitation services for residential clients.
Duties
- Complies with policies, procedures, standards and regulations.
- Establishes and maintains rapport with clients and stakeholders (DCBS/DJJ/OVR).
- Exhibits professionalism and positive role modeling for clients, peers and outside groups/visitors.
- Maintains confidentiality of client’s protected health information and complies with the HIPAA privacy rule.
- Continues own professional growth and development.
- Demonstrates competence in trauma-informed principles and practices when interacting with all clients.
- Link clients to educational and vocational resources.
- Completes and Manages Referrals to Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor.
- Assists clients with transitioning into the community upon discharge by connecting clients with resources prior to discharge and follow-up with clients after discharge.
- Completes monthly summaries consistent with Vocational Rehab requirements.
- Completes quarterly billing consistent with Vocational Rehab requirements.
- Conducts groups as related to Pre-Employment Transitional Services (ETS).
- Conducts individual Pre-ETS training with clients.
- Attend meetings and trainings consistent with Vocational Rehab Partnership.
- Complete all required documentation and paperwork according to Sunrise standards and requirements.
- Provides supervisor with a monthly schedule.
Qualifications:
- Interpersonal Skills: Good oral and basic written communication ability and the ability to communicate effectively with the public and with co-workers. ·
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in human services field required.
- Experience: Two to five years’ experience in case management or similar duties.
- Skill: Understands and applies basic child and adolescent development principles. Ability and judgment to apply policies and procedures requiring a moderate degree of previous training or experience.
- Creativity: Ability to generate imaginative work or ideas which affect moderately complex activities within his/her work group, programs or department; and the ability to conceptualize the implementation thereof.
- Responsibility: Moderate impact on quality and efficiency of services or operation of agency or revenues/expenses. Permitted to make decisions on moderately complex problems/issues.
- Supervision: None
- Other: Must be able to travel; ability to drive unassisted statewide is required as necessary. Must be capable of physically restraining youths up to 19 years of age.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools; and to reach with hands and arms.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
