Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Build and maintain outside transportation relationships and agreements. Supervise and help facilitate hiring, and termination of seasonal employees.
· Work alongside Operations Superintendent and Building Managers to insure all equipment at the facility is in excellent operating condition while helping to control maintenance and repair expenses.
· Facilitate the movement of all products through the agronomy facilities efficiently and in a timely manner so as to provide excellent customer service among all divisions.
· Efficiently dispatch custom application machines and delivery of all products in a timely manner with no prejudice or bias, to best serve all Sunrise Cooperative Customers.
· Work with SPS representative to accurately and efficiently obtain soil samples.
· Work with location Office Managers to ensure an accurate accounting of the Agronomy department including billing, purchase orders, receiving, and monthly inventories.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Attend agronomic and leadership workshops, as directed by the Branch Manager, to increase knowledge around said topics.
· Project a positive image of the company to promote its aims and objectives (Supplier of Choice); and foster and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its areas of endeavor.
· Periodically assist the Energy and Grain Divisions.
· All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Retail Agronomy Experience
2. Class A CDL w/ HazMat
3. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
4. Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
5. Ability to use Microsoft Office 365, and navigate internet based software.
6. Ability to work long varied hours/days as business dictates.
7. Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
