Description
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting customers, maintaining high standards.
2. Ability to work varied hours as business dictates. Must be able to lift 50lbs.
3. Operating the grain receiving pits: Empty inbound trucks and wagons; Load outbound trucks.
4. Assisting in keeping the spilled grain and grain dust in the facility to less than 1/8 inch in depth.
5. Keeping areas surrounding the elevator clean and tidy
6. Assisting in emptying grain silos to include operating the mechanical grain bin sweeps, shoveling, and broom work as needed.
7. Assisting in loading rail cars to include opening, closing, and sealing top hatches, cleaning the interior of the cars as needed, closing, and sealing the bottom doors.
8. Operating the locomotive when assigned.
9. Conducting preventative maintenance on the grain equipment in the entire facility as directed by the Superintendent.
10. Operating the grain dryer as directed by the Superintendent.
11. Accurately weighing, sampling, testing and recording inbound grain when assigned.
12. Backup the Superintendent’s responsibilities in his absence, keeping busy at all times.
13. Communicating with management when receiving poor quality grain.
14. Practicing and promoting safety at all times.
15. All other duties as assigned by management.
16. Applicant must have a Class A CDL
