As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in our dental practice. You are the right hand to our doctors and play a pivotal role in their success and our patient experience. You will assist the dentist in various procedures, manage patient interactions, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide compassionate care will enhance the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including but not limited to fillings, extractions, and cleanings.
-Assist the hygienist from 5pm-7pm, taking x-rays and polishing
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-procedure care.
- Manage the scheduling of patient appointments and follow-up visits.
- Monitor and manage inventory of dental supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Assist in administrative tasks, such as billing and insurance verification, as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to create a positive experience for patients.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent
-Certification or RDA License
- Current CPR certification
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
