What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auto Body Technician- Medium Duty Trucks position at Sunrise Equipment?
55-year-old company needs ambitious hard-working body shop technicians to join our team. Experience in auto body and medium-duty trucks preferred. This position would require a variety of responsibilities including welding (preferred), prepping vehicles to paint, performing fiberglass body repair work, painting vehicles, installing lights, and other tasks as assigned. The candidate must have a willingness to learn and perform physical labor. Must be dependable and able to follow directions. Pay based upon experience.
The responsibilities for this position are:
- Prepping vehicles for paint by sanding, taping, etc.
- Mix and match colors for paint projects
- Washing, waxing, and detailing vehicle interior and exteriors
- Keeping the shop clean and organized
- General maintenance of the shop
- Other duties as directed by management
- Assist in the examination of vehicles
- Works and communicates with others on vehicle repair status
- Performs quality repairs; while keeping in mind on-time status
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks
- Apply primer and paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired results
- Repair damaged or deteriorated surfaces prior to painting
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
Requirements:

- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Willing to work our business hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM M-F
