What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lot Associate position at Sunrise Equipment?
As a Lot Attendant/Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dealership lot. Your primary responsibilities will include checking in new trucks, operating vehicles, ensuring safe pickups and deliveries, cleaning vehicles, and assisting with various other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
Check-in New Trucks- Receive and inspect new trucks as they arrive at the dealership, complete documentation, perform quality checks, and ensure accurate inventory records.
Operate Vehicles: Safely move and operate vehicles within the dealership lot, ensuring they are positioned efficiently for display and customer access.
Deliveries: Coordinate and make parts deliveries and pick-ups as needed ensuring timely and safe transport.
Vehicle Cleaning: Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles, both for presentation on the lot and after service or test drives. This includes but not limited to washing, waxing, and interior cleaning.
Lot Organization: Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing lot. Ensure vehicles are correctly positioned and appropriately labeled.
Inventory Management: Assist in keeping track of vehicle inventory, including monitoring and reporting on vehicle conditions, mileage, and availability.
General Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance tasks on vehicles including but not limited to changing batteries, filling fluids, and changing or inflating tires as needed.
Groundskeeping: Assist with landscaping and outdoor maintenance including mowing, snow removal, and ensuring outdoor areas are safe and attractive.
Outdoor Maintenance: Perform lawn care and outdoor maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, and trimming to ensure the property's outdoor areas are well-maintained and visually appealing.
Other Duties: Be prepared to handle various tasks and assignments as required to support the smooth operation of the dealership.
Mechanical experience is a must when we consider candidates for this position.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is desirable
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving history
- Light mechanical experience
- Ability to work as a team player and interact with customers, managers, and coworkers in a professional, courteous manner.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Possess the energy and drive to accomplish goals, meet deadlines, and find solutions
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to perform all job functions
- Job requires pulling, pushing, bending, standing, lifting, and reaching and be able to lift over 60 lbs
- Commitment to customer service
- Monday-Friday position 8:00-4:30 (30-minute lunch)
