Position Summary
Sunrise has a position opening for a service writer/warranty claims person in the heavy truck and automotive repair shop. Candidates must be dependable and highly energetic and have the ability to successfully manage product or service delivery. Good organizational ability is very important.
Education, Training & Experience
Required:
· Must have proficient computer skills and strong attention to detail.
· Good customer service skills are important.
Mechanical Knowledge is preferred.
· Service writer experience and mechanical knowledge are preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Additional Qualifications:
· General understanding of mechanical/technical terms a plus.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Open work orders as directed and maintain control until closed and invoiced.
o Track repairs and their causes.
o Handle Repair Order charges, warranty validation & claims coverage’s including computation of charges, submission and follow-up.
o Log necessary parts and how much time should be allocated to make the repair.
o Schedule technicians.
o Process warranties.
· Maintain computerized repair information.
· Develop cost estimates.
· Account for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
