Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Retail Shop Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fly shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of retail, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As the Shop Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, inventory, and sales strategies to ensure the shop runs efficiently and profitably.
Responsibilities
- Fly Shop Manager will work a flexible Full-Time schedule from April 1 to October 1. It is understood that this schedule may flex based on Sunrise Fly Shop’s scheduling needs as well as for Manager’s Personal time off requests.
- Help clients and customers with all of their fishing needs.
- Manage marketing and growth of the sunriseflyshop.com online store.
- Manage Inventory accuracy
- Monitor Order fulfillment
- Enhance Social Media Marketing
- Facilitate Email marketing
- Manage, promote, and grow Sunrise Fly Shop’s Social Media presence.
- Weekly Email news blasts highlighting online store, sale items, guided trip availability, and fishing updates.
- Write and post two fishing reports for the Big Hole and the Beaverhead each calendar week.
- Integrate fishing reports and online store onto social media platforms.
- Communicate with clients via email and telephone to book both guided trips and lodging.
- Assist the Owners in Product in-fill ordering as well as Pre-Season ordering.
- Manage the cleaning of the Sunrise Fly Shop lodging.
- Manage the visual merchandising, restocking of merchandise, and organize the backstock of inventory.
- Help manage the coordination and logistics of daily guided trips.
- Checkout clients that have outstanding balances.
- Ensure all guides accurately and completely fill out their daily guide paperwork.
- Contact all clients that will be checking in within the next 24 hours and ensure that they have all the logistical information that they might need for their upcoming trip.
- Check-in all incoming lodging guests.
- Help facilitate the accurate and efficient completion of all the day’s shuttles.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or a similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of retail math concepts and inventory management practices.
- Experience in e-commerce management is a plus but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced retail environment.
