What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Sunrise Futures, LLC?
Sunrise Futures is in search of a Senior Accountant for our Accounting & Finance team. Our firm is looking to build out the Finance and Accounting function. The ideal candidate will have 1 years of experience in an industry or public accounting setting. This individual should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have an educational background in accounting and/or finance. A CPA is not required for this role.
Duties:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Perform entries within QuickBooks accounting software
- Assist with audit and tax requests
- Prepare audit confirmations with external auditor and senior management
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Assist with daily and monthly review of trading p&l
- Execute tasks related to month end close process
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Complete ad hoc tasks as defined; related to streamlining current work load and improving efficiency and accuracy of accounting and financial data
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with financial report writing and analysis
- Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or errors
