Apply for our Nurse Manager of Trauma Surgical ICU role today Job Summary and Qualifications You will serve as a positive role model for staff management, problem solving and professional standards of nursing and select, train and evaluate subordinates and initiate personnel actions in accordance with the Human Resources policies and organizational philosophy You will represent the department through involvement on interdepartmental and interdisciplinary committees or work groups to effect change and problem solve within the organization and represent Patient Care Services and the medical center on state, community and professional committees You will mentor employees in quality and patient satisfaction goals for the clinical area(s) of responsibility You will assist in development of staffing standards for clinical area(s) of responsibility and ensure daily staffing standards meet productivity target. You wil coach charge nurses and other unit personnel on effective staffing patterns You will perform data collection and analysis for decision-making and seek opportunities to improve care or system process, incorporate performance improvement principles and data, and ensure unit compliance with all regulatory agencies and the State of Nevada Nurse Practice Act What qualifications you will need : Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing Current Nevada license to practice nursing BSN required; Masters Degree in Nursing or related health field required (or actively in progress) BLS, ACLS Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Nursing Administration (CNA) preferred Basic computer and hospital informatics skills required Current acute clinical knowledge required. Minimum of 1 year management experience required.
