Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of personal care services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for assisting others and ensuring their well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Help with mobility assistance, such as transferring and positioning
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Experience or certification in emergency medicine or care settings is preferred
- Knowledge of geriatrics and experience working in medical-surgical or outpatient settings is a plus
- Ability to work with diverse populations, including pediatric and adult clients
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards clients' needs
- Willingness to learn and adapt to different care environments, such as teaching hospitals or trauma centers
