Sunrise Kitchens, Baths, and Closets seeks a full-time Design Assistant/Kitchen, Bath, and Closet Designer. The ideal candidate will be ambitious and help the company's owners and staff grow and achieve its goals and objectives year after year.
If you meet the position's goals and objectives, you can move up in the company in less than nine months to a year. This is the only option.
Performance objectives are:
- Assist Senior Kitchen Bath Closet Designers with their projects.
- Able to conduct home site visits, get measurements of the space for each project, and capture the necessary information to provide sketch drawings and requirements for the project in the planning guide to the drafting team to the General Manager.
- Aiding designers with client meetings and selling techniques
- Learning and becoming proficient in cabinet and closet design software
- Performing basic-to-intermediate design and layout work
- Administrative, office-related tasks, and errands as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- At least one year of kitchen, bathroom, and closet design experience or construction industry experience is required.
- Pass a background check.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design is preferred.
- Custom cabinetry design & 2020 Catalog Design experience.
- Must understand basic construction processes and know how to read construction drawings
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Experience taking measurements and strong math skills
- Must bring a positive attitude and be a team player
- Detail-oriented, with the ability to interpret project and plan specifications
- Ability to adjust quickly to new or changing assignments, processes, and personnel
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office especially, Excel and Word, Internet
- Knowledge of the kitchen, bathroom, and closet design process
- Perform job responsibilities in an efficient and timely fashion.

Responsibilities:
- Create unique, functional, and beautiful kitchen, bath, and closet designs for our clients.
- Produce kitchens, baths, and closets using 20-20 design software (training will be provided if necessary).
- Compose unique, functional, and inspiring design packages, quotes & proposals for our clients.
- Able to learn all you can about the remodeling industry related to kitchens, baths, and closet remodeling.
- Building positive relationships with clients, team members, and partners.
- Focus on client and client experience through the entire kitchen/bath remodel and custom closet experience.
- Greeting walk-in clients to the showroom and answering phones
- Scheduling appointments for designers
- Maintaining logs for and organizing inventory at the warehouse and storage room
- Sharing opening and closing duties for the showroom each day
- Maintaining sample libraries and showroom supplies
- Coordinating schedules with installers and other trades
