- Clone plants for cultivation, according to production schedule
- Maintain and monitor the health of plants, including watering, feeding, and pest management
- Manage climate conditions in the growing environment such as temperature, humidity, lighting and VPD
- Prune plants to optimize growth and maximize yield
- Harvest plants at the appropriate time, ensuring optimal quality
- Process harvested cannabis plants, including drying, curing, and storing
- Ensure compliance with all state and local regulations related to cannabis cultivation
- Maintain records of cultivation activities and inventory
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain cleanliness of the cultivation area

Job Summary
The Propagation Supervisor is responsible for plant care in all stages of the life cycle. Those duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Breakdown flowers off stem and stalk of plant in order to separate unusable waste from usable product. This includes identifying and separating fan leaves, stems and sugar leaves on the flower
- Sit or stand for long periods of time while focusing on detail-oriented trimming. Employee must be able to adapt to various strains, styles and types of marijuana they are trimming: adjusting their techniques to maintain a steady pace and quality
- Weighing and recording weights including green waste and using METRC as applicable
- Track the metrics for the trimming process
- Clean up all production areas and tools between strains and at the end of every shift
- Understand and follow all rules and regulations for harvest and inventory management including wet weight measurements, dry weight measurements, and harvest batch requirements as set out in the State of Michigan regulations
- Understand and follow all safety protocols, compliance and SOP’s. Help refine and develop SOPs through each stage of the post-harvest process.
- Follow all state regulations, SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties.
- Maintain open communication with the management team and other co-workers
- Perform nutrient mixing, PH checks, and transplanting.
- Harvest plants, and transplant or pot and label them.
- Check and water all plants in your area.
- Examine plant leaves noting coloring to detect the presence of insects, disease, mildew, or mold and immediately bring to the attention of the Operations Manager.
- Monitor and track environmental factors, including temperature, humidity, and water levels.
- Move plants in an orderly, time efficient manner from one area of the cultivation facility to another, including transport of harvested plants to drying rooms and hanging plants to dry.
- Record all information about plants and plant growth.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, allowing for the proper segregation of materials and processes, and maintain equipment in accordance with sanitation standards including the washing of pots/trays/lights, etc.
- Monitor, log, and track plants in the company’s inventory tracking systems per CRA regulation.
- Remain aware of harvest and trim support supplies inventories to include but not limited to gloves, isopropyl alcohol, hand sanitizer, cleaning supplies, and any other personal protection or production equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks and report any needs to the Lead Grower and/or Master Grower.
- Follow all SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties, including but not limited to, state regulations, security protocols, access protocols, dress code, work schedules, timesheet recording, and confidentiality and non-disclosure requirements.
- Report any observed deviations from Company policies immediately to management.
- Contribute and improve upon already-existing operations and processes to improve workflow efficiency, and provide constructive feedback and recommendations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Commercial Grower and/or General Agriculture Experience
Preferred Experience:
- Following and updating SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Cultivation / Greenhouse / Farm
- Job performance tracking (Quantity and Quality)
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US
- Must pass background check with no disqualifying infractions
- Must maintain compliance with state regulations and company policies at all times
- Able to work overtime and weekends when requested
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of proprietary and sensitive information
- Physical Requirements - Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, handle, stoop, kneel, climb and crouch; must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to fertilizer, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, moderate noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds and/or environmental variables
