Overview
We seek a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Sunrise Recovery LLC. In this role, you will provide behavioral health care to adult patients in a detox residential recovery center. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders, conducting physical examinations, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
We are opening a new location in Lafayette, Indiana
Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Availability to answer telephone calls from Facility employees 24 hours per day, making reasonable efforts to respond to all such calls within thirty (30) minutes of the initial call.
- Authorizing patient admission and directing patient care, including the use of prescription medications, whether through written or standing orders.
- Assessing face to face all patients at all levels of care who have a valid medical complaint
- Will have no pending or past sanctions, debarments, suspensions, or exclusions by any federally funded healthcare program, including Medicare and Medicaid.
- Perform physical examinations to evaluate overall health and identify any medical issues.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Provide care for patients in detox and document daily
- Ensure compliance with sterile processing protocols during procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records using KIPU
- Educate patients and families about treatment options.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing.
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Strong clinical skills
- Proficiency in conducting H&P
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
