This position offers a $2.00 per hour shift differential for Nights
Requirement: Day Shift: 6:00am- 6:30P
Must be able to rotate weekends
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Recovery Coach to help guide patients with substance abuse problems and related mental health issues through the recovery process. In this role, you may help patients determine their personal goals, recommend community programs, and provide advice to family members on how they can best provide support. You also provide support to clients as they perform daily self-care tasks as well as life management activities, such as budgeting. Our ideal applicant has personal experience overcoming and recovering from substance abuse, allowing them to connect more deeply with people who are still struggling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Always demonstrate service excellence to clients.
- Must always be respectful of all clients and co-workers
- Ensure that the daily cleaning schedule is completed on each shift.
- Monitor clients during smoking breaks closely, check the area regularly to ensure nothing has been thrown over the fencing from outside parties.
- Demonstrates basic Chemical Dependency abilities at competent skill level, including skill in monitoring suicidal behavior, alcohol and opiate withdrawal
- Adheres to all federal, state and regulatory guidelines and laws regarding patient confidentiality
- Effectively establishes rapport with patients and families by adhering to the therapeutic boundaries policy
- Models respectful and assertive behavior
- Adheres to the clinical program and schedule, (i.e. groups, smoke breaks)
- Provides clear and correct information to callers, visitors, and coworkers
- Communicates any shift need with the appropriate personnel
- Consistently implements handbook and community rules when intervening with patients
- Consistently shares observations regarding specific behaviors, milieu concerns, & other relevant factors with other staff
- Enforce & inform policy and procedures
- Monitoring patients always, defuses conflicts, ensures patient compliance with treatment protocol, and involves other clinical staff as necessary
- Performs daily cleaning duties as directed by daily cleaning check list
- Must be a committed team player willing to learn new skill sets
- Works as a highly dependable, independent member of the clinical team
- Documents & reports incidents immediately
- Always Maintain appropriate boundaries with patients, (i.e. giving out phone numbers, or Facebook friends) Never use patients names on social media or group me.
- Monitors meals in dining room, including food intake, and putting aside plates for those not feeling well enough to physically attend meals
- May be required to transport patients to doctors’ appointments, court hearings

Computer Skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software preferred
