Description
Sunrise Retirement is seeking a full time dietary server with some cook experience to create a restaurant-style dining experience for the residents at The Pointe.
This position will help set up and prepare the meal for the day, set up the salad bar and dining room. The cook will lead the serving crew and serve as a back-up to the Kitchen Manager. This position will assist in the managerial duties when the manager is out and train new servers.
This is a benefit eligible full-time position including medical, dental, vision, 403B, short term disability, life insurance and much more!
Hours: 9am-6pm Tues-Sat (can be flexible on days off)

1) Able to handle and prepare food which is palatable and appetizing in appearance.
2) Able to follow oral and written direction and demonstrate excellence in customer service.
3) Able to follow written menus and recipes.
4) Able to understand and be able to prepare therapeutic diets.
5) Able to be responsible for avoiding food waste.
6) Able to assume responsibility for meeting meal schedules.
7) Able to be responsible for care of food service equipment.
8) Able to work in a cooperative manner with food service staff and other departments.
9) Able to attend in-service training programs for food service employees.
10) Able to observe infection control procedures and observe all facility safety policies and procedures.
11) Able to come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality.
12) Able to accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner.
13) Able to assume accountability for data contained in the employee handbook.
14) Able to back up Manager as needed and director and train other kitchen staff.
