About the Role
">As a Medication Nurse LPN at Sunrise Senior Living, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and services to our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to administer medication and treatments in a safe and organized manner.
">Responsibilities
">- Administer medications and treatments to residents as prescribed by physicians
- Document medication administration records accurately and thoroughly
- Collaborate with Resident Care Directors and Wellness Nurses to ensure accurate medication updates
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information, including medication records
- Participate in daily Cross Over meetings to discuss resident care and concerns
- Conduct Service and Health Updates as directed by Resident Care Directors
- Transcribe orders and maintain accurate documentation
- Partner with community team to ensure compliance with OSHA/British Columbia Workers Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements
- Practice safety procedures at all times, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Lockout Tagout procedures
Qualifications
">- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or state/province specific licensed nurse credential
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred
- Demonstrated ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
