LPN Medication Care Manager Role
This critical role plays a vital part in delivering high-quality care to our residents. The LPN Medication Care Manager is responsible for administering medications and treatments, documenting medication administration records, conducting SHUs, and participating in daily Cross Over meetings to discuss resident care and updates.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, document medication administration records accurately and thoroughly, and report any concerns or issues to the RCD or Wellness Nurse
* Resident Care: Conduct SHUs, assist with transcription of orders, maintain confidentiality of resident information, and participate in daily Cross Over meetings to discuss resident care and updates
* Risk Management: Report all accidents/incidents immediately, participate in risk management programs, and maintain compliance with OSHA/British Columbia Workers Compensation Act and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requirements
**Requirements**
* LPN, LVN, or state/province specific licensed nurse credential
* CPR and First Aid certification
* Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently
