About the Job
The Resident Care Director (RCD) is a nursing clinical leader responsible for managing the health and wellness of residents within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for resident care in the community
- Manage, direct, and monitor the nursing team to promote the health and wellness of the resident population
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other clinical providers to coordinate care and services for residents
- Develop and implement individualized service plans (ISPs) and care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
- Recruit, hire, and train clinical team members, including nurses, medication care managers, and care managers
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited college or school of nursing with a current state/provincial license as a professional Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum two (2) years RN experience, preferably in home health, assisted living, or long-term care environment
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision
- Certified in CPR and First Aid
