About the Role
Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled Medication Care Manager to join our team. As a Medication Care Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest degree of quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe organized manner.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and experience working with seniors. You will be responsible for reviewing, reading, notating, and initializing the Daily Log to document and learn about pertinent information about residents.
You will also be responsible for receiving medication updates from the Resident Care Director (RCD) or Wellness Nurse and administering, assisting with, and observing medications and treatments for each resident using the medication administration record and the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
Additionally, you will ensure that medications are passed according to times, document and initialize as medications are given, and ensure that appropriate documentation is completed for refusal or missed doses.
Other responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality of all resident information including resident medication among other residents, reporting all resident concerns made while administering the medication to the RCD or Wellness Nurse, and restocking medication cart after all medication passes.
