The SEO Copywriter will play a critical role in enhancing our brand’s digital footprint by crafting high-quality, optimized content that enhances our online presence, drives organic traffic and boosts engagement with our target audience. RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
Responsibilities:As a part of the Sunrise team, supporting our Mission, Principles of Service and Core Values is a fundamental part of this job. The unique responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to the essential functions listed as follows:• Create high-quality, engaging, and SEO-optimized content for various digital platforms, including website pages, blog posts, articles and social media, to drive website visitors and generate leads• Incorporate SEO best practices into content creation, including meta tags, headers and internal/external linking, to maximize search engine visibility• Support competitor and keyword research to optimize content for maximum search engine visibility and collaborate with Marketing and Sales to influence new keywords and topics• Collaborate with Marketing managers to develop unique, localized content for community webpages and social media accounts• Partner with designers to ensure content is visually appealing and aligns with Sunrise’s brand voice and marketing objectives• Monitor and analyze content performance to understand audience trends and provide actionable recommendations for improvement• Utilize A/B testing and follow SEO guidelines to drive traffic and conversions• Support the marketing team in the creation of content calendars and strategies that align with organizational goals• Stay up to date on industry trends, technology developments, and SEO best practices to ensure content remains relevant and competitive• Maintain compliance in assigned required training and all training required by state/province or other regulating authorities as applicable to this role to ensure that Sunrise standards are always met• Perform other duties as assigned Core Competencies:• Proven ability to utilize strong writing, editing and proofreading skills to produce clear, engaging and high-quality content• Demonstrated knowledge of advanced SEO principles that enhance search engine visibility, including keyword research, meta tags, headers and link-building strategies• Proven ability to analyze content performance data to identify trends, measure effectiveness and adjust strategies for improved results• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales and Design, to align content with brand voice and business objectives• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently while adapting to changing priorities and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detailQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed throughout this job description are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Creative Writing, Journalism or a related field• Proven experience in SEO copywriting with a strong portfolio of published work; must provide copywriting samples from current or former roles upon request• Advanced knowledge of SEO strategies, including keyword research, meta tags, headers and link-building best practices• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail• Ability to write both short- and long-form content in a variety of brand voices• Strong research skills to translate complex information into clear, engaging content• Creative thinking with the ability to generate innovative content ideas• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Design• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously• A proactive “always learning” attitude, with a desire to continuously gain knowledge and improve skills• Experience in an agency, hospitality, healthcare or real estate organization is a plus
