Sunrise Services, Inc. is seeking a Resident Manager for our Adult Family Home!
Working under the support and direction of the Enhanced Services Facility (ESF) Administrator, the Resident Manager will meet the needs of adults living in a Sunrise Adult Family Home. Ensure that residents receive care, support, and assistance according to policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Support and lead caregivers. Train and orient caregivers and assist with support and ongoing training as agreed with ESF administrator.
- Provide support and assistance to AFH residents in the following areas: Health and safety, power and choice, positive recognition of self and others, integration into the physical and social life of the community, developing relationships, and promoting competence and self-reliance
- Develop and implement Negotiated Care Plans (NCP’s), Crisis Plans, Safety Plans, and other plans.
- Facilitate completion of resident’s CARE assessment, NCP, and other plans annually or as needed per regulatory and policy requirements
- Ensure that appropriate staff members are knowledgeable of all resident plan contents, provide proper support as needed, and follow the plans exactly as written.
- Ensure caregivers review and sign off on the statement of understanding on resident plans every 3 months.
- Regularly monitor staff compliance with all policy requirements – provide feedback on any performance concerns to the ESF administrator as needed/appropriate.
- Monitor caregiver training needs to correct knowledge gaps.
- Assist AFH staff with completing medication records, daily case notes, and incident report forms.
- Maintain required records in an organized and consistent manner. Monitor and review records to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with procedures and regulations.
- Ensure appropriate staff levels. Work in conjunction with the HR department in hiring new staff and scheduling staff to cover vacant shifts. Cover vacant shifts when necessary.
- Participate as “Emergency On-Call Person” as scheduled;
- Perform nurse delegation as required by client needs.
- Transport residents in personal or company vehicle, as needed.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in social or human services, or any field related to developmental disabilities/mental health; or High School Diploma and at least 3 years documented experience in a similar residential environment.
· Experience: Three years of experience in a residential environment, managing the care of adults with developmental disabilities and/or chronic mental illness. Supervisory experience preferred.
· Licensure/Certification:
o Manager Specialty trainings in Developmental Disabilities, Dementia, and Mental Health, or the willingness to obtain such trainings.
o Current First Aid, CPR, and NAR certifications are required.
o Food handler’s card or completion of Fundamentals of Care with a passing grade on the food handler’s portion of the training.
· Other Considerations:
o DSHS background clearance required.
o Current valid Washington driver’s license, acceptable driving record and automobile liability insurance required.
o Strong verbal and written communications skills.
o Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. Ability to learn additional software as assigned.
o Demonstrated skill with basic home management and basic financial management.
o Lift approximately 20-30 pounds and physically assist unsteady residents.
o Perform physical aspects of position that may include the lifting and transferring of residents; carrying groceries, laundry, and other personal belongings; reaching at waist, above shoulders or below knees, walking up and down stairs; etc.

Monday - Friday
8am - 5pm
Compensation:
- $23.00 - $30.00/hour
- Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications.
