Sunrise Solar is looking for a Site Engineer to join our growing team in Willowbrook, IL! If you have a strong background in civil or structural engineering and want to make an impact in the residential solar industry, this is your chance to be part of a company dedicated to clean energy solutions.
What You’ll Do:
🔹 Conduct on-site structural assessments to ensure homes are solar-ready
🔹 Evaluate roof load capacities and mounting system stability
🔹 Ensure compliance with NEC, IRC, ASCE, and local building codes
🔹 Work closely with electricians, contractors, and installers
🔹 Troubleshoot engineering challenges and improve installation performance
What We’re Looking For:
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
✅ Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification in the U.S. or Canada
✅ 5 years of experience in construction site engineering, structural assessments, or solar installations
✅ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and structural load analysis tools
✅ Strong knowledge of residential construction codes and engineering principles
