We are looking for a talented DIESEL TECHNICIAN to join our Distribution Business in Memphis, TN.
- In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop.
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools.
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
- Adhere to Client Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Client products.
- Maintain own tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: (ADVANCED):
- Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools.
- Larger more complicated engine rebuilds.
- Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation.
- Internal engine repairs, electrical proficiency, aftertreatment system, fuel system and air handlings
- SEEKING ADVANCED TECHNICIAN WITH INTERNAL ENGINE EXPERIENCE INCLUDING OVERHAULS.
Qualifications and Competencies QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
- Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
- Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
EXPERIENCE
- Advanced level of workshop experience required
- Advanced knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Qualifications
THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE A COMPLETED DMV DRIVING REPORT BUT NO DRIVER QUALIFICATION FILE. CANDIDATE MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD AND HAVE 2 YEARS DRIVING EXPERIENCE. THIS POSITION WILL BE PART OF THE FTA POOL.
- A current valid license is required for this role
- Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience
- This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
- This position is subject to Federal Transit Administration random and pre-employment drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug and alcohol testing.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. **Additional Manager notes**
This role requires no travel and will be based in the shop. The manager is looking for candidates that are proficient in Insite, QSOL, and Guidanz. Candidates that have Client specific certifications should be submitted first. Manager is looking for candidates with more than 5 years of overhaul experience. Candidates with light duty experience will not be considered. Only candidates with medium range (RV's, Bus, etc), ad heavy-duty experience will be considered. Candidates that have experience working with construction heavy machinery engines, Trains, Ships, and Bulldozers will be considered as well.
Relocation assistance is an option. The role is first shift Monday-Friday; 7am-4pm with at least 5 hours of OT.
