Job Title : New Business Development Specialist

Location : Remote

Duration : 15 months

Position Type : Hourly contract Position (W2 only)

Note :

  • POSITION TITLE : New Business Development Specialist - Food Service
  • LOCATION : Anywhere, but ideally Tristate or CA
  • ASSIGNMENT LENGTH : 15 MONTHS
  • SCHEDULE / REMOTE FLEXIBILITY : Remote is accepted - This person will be travelling all over the country. Please submit that are comfortable travelling a lot.
  • HOURS PER WEEK : 40 hours / week

Manager Intake Notes : A successful candidate will have : 1. background in food services. 2. experience with culinary arts. ;There will be training for this role to help demonstrate products; This person is responsible for getting new sales with new customers; a corporate chef will be a great candidate for this role; 5 years of food service industry.

Job Summary / Basic Function :

  • Responsible for supporting New Business Development manager with product demo / sales meetings, to obtain new business. This responsibility includes New business development specialist to understanding customers’ direction and developing sales strategies based on the customers’ needs, identifying new business opportunities for client's technologies and product offerings, and collaborating with client's product and engineering teams to provide the product offerings.
  • Competencies :

  • Ability to quickly learn and understand Client's vast array of food service products and solutions
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Effective negotiation and presentation skills
  • Experience in working with multiple levels of management, internally and externally
  • Pro-active promotion and cross-team collaboration with multiple groups and factory domains
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with different cultures to meet the desired business result.
  • Ability to quickly identify a match between customer product requirements and Client solutions.
  • Project leadership of international teams (both internally and externally) a major plus
  • Communications :

  • Strong written and oral communication capabilities, are required.
  • Ability to make major presentations to high-level internal and external contacts a must.
  • Other Requirements :

  • 50% travel required, mostly domestic, working in weekends occasionally are required.
  • Key Accountabilities :

  • 20% - Identify new business opportunities at assigned food service segments focused on High Speed Oven and Sonic Steamer.
  • 20% - Promote Clients solutions and products to these companies.
  • 20% - Establish strong working relationships with key decision makers at targeted customers; through these relationships, identify menu trends and solution for customers
  • 20% - Develop and execute sales strategies to match customer requirements with client's solutions.
  • 20% - Collaborate with client product groups and factory domains to develop a plan to promote client solutions, based on identified menu and operation trends.
  • Scope :

  • Reports to New Business Development manager.
  • Education & Experience :

  • Proven success in business development, resulting in key business wins
  • Must have relevant experience working with the food service industry
  • Must have relevant experience of culinary experience
  • Experiences in sales and / or new business development in the food service industry is a plus
  • Experience in working for or with a global company is a plus
  • Proven ability to work in a Japanese business culture a plus
