What are the responsibilities and job description for the Packaging Engineer position at Sunrise Systems?
Job Description :
- The Packaging Engineer will be responsible for working with current package designs and exploring packaging and labeling technologies supporting a new development project.
- The engineer must have a solid foundation of packaging materials, fabrication processes, molding processes, ISTA and ASTM packaging test methods.
- The engineer will be interfacing with Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing and suppliers.
- The engineer will assist with coordinating the release of new and enhancements to existing product packaging; participate in design reviews, inspection processes; and participate in the resolution of packaging issues.
- The engineer will also be responsible for writing detailed package testing protocols, hands on with product pack-out for testing and cycling through different test sequences (environmental and distribution testing) and will be responsible for writing the final package test reports.
- Training will be provided on the test sequences and writing / documentation process for the protocols and reports.
- Attention to detail to the test method and documentation is critical.
