Sunrise Technologies, a unit of Electro Switch, is currently seeking an Electro/Mechanical Assembler position in Raynham. This position requires a wide range of mechanical and electrical skills to assemble or fabricate mechanical parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment per required specifications in a manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Strong English communication skills necessary to read and interpret instructions, schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
· An understanding and proficient use of skills necessary to work from and solve problems using assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials.
· Assemble parts for electromechanical equipment by positioning and fastening components to assemblies and subassemblies as specified.
· Tag or mark identifying information on parts.
· Drill, Tap, ream, and deburr with drill presses and hand tools.
· Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and multi-meters.
· Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
· Solder electrical components at assembly, wiring, and PCB levels.
· Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and spot-face bolt holes in parts, using drill presses and other hand and power tools.
· Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
· Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards.
· Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products per engineering specification changes.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Work with materials personnel to maintain work area inventories.
· Maintain a clean and safe work area.
· Other duties as assigned.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a level of knowledge that is usually associated with an Associate’s Degree in Electro/Mechanical Technology plus 3-5 years mechanical assembly experience.
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems and to think in such a way as to produce and communicate new concepts or ideas to others.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
