Summary/Objective
The Addiction Counselor position provides individual and/or group counseling services to patients with substance abuse

Essential Functions
- Maintain patient records and produce timely documentation of services rendered.
- Maintain contacts and/or referrals with clinicians in the community and inform them of the patient’s progress. Make
- referrals to other community agencies and resources, as indicated in the treatment plan.
- Process toxicology screenings.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient accounts. Remain current with changes in policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in relevant continuing education and in-service training to improve professional competency.
- Maintain professional work conduct and ethical confidentiality.
- Perform other related work as required or assigned.
Work Hours
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This position will require a normal Saturday rotation
for home site.
Travel
No travel required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
This position requires a CDCA certification or higher, including but not limited to: LCDC, LICDC, LPC, LPCC, LSW LISW
and at least six months addictions counseling experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
At least one year of Addictions Counseling experience.
