Summary/Objective
Provide excellent customer service to both external and internal customers, greeting clients, answering questions and assisting in creating a smooth and efficient environment.
Essential Functions
- Welcomes patients and others by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries for location.
- Monitor and maintain safe reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations for location.
- Maintain and organize front lobby and replenish patient snack area when needed for location.
- Acts as Liaison between Administrative and Medical team in addition to performing various clerical functions.
- Verify patient eligibility for all OH MCD patients for location.
- Update system of changes of Insurance and notify Reimbursement Supervisor, Med Room and Counselor for location.
- Contact patients to discuss changes in Insurance and arrange other methods of payment for ongoing office visits for location
- Complete Toxicology Screenings for Intake and Doctor Appointments for location.
- Complete in-house Laboratory Requisition forms for confirmatory on Toxicology Screenings requested by Doctors and Counselors for location.
- Verify cash and credit card receipts and prepare for night deposit for location.
- Provides back-up assistance to Admin Assistant I as needed for patient appointment reminder calls, maintain filing systems, pulling charts for following day appointments and process incoming patient payments.
- Communicate daily to Administrative Supervisor.
- Remain current and assist in maintaining office services by following office operations policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in relevant continuing education, in-service training to improve professional competency and monthly staff meetings.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners and photocopiers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stoop as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of Monday, Wednesday and Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This position will require a normal Saturday rotation for home site.

Required Education and Experience
This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education and Experience
Office Administration experience, at least one year. Ohio Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) or superseding Ohio licensure (e.g. LCDCIII, LPC, LSW) preferred but not required.
