Medication Room Nurse
Location: 1907 11th Street Portsmouth, Ohio 45662 & 247 CIC Blvd. West Union, Ohio 45693
Sunrise Treatment Center is an outpatient opiate addiction treatment facility that is looking to add to its nursing staff. Our nursing staff prepares and dispenses buprenorphine based medication from our on site dispensary. We are looking for a nurse who resides somewhere between the two sites listed, who excellent computer skills, relevant field experience, and looking to take on a more sedentary role, away from floor nursing.

* Base pay for this position is $47,033.94 with additional salary added for nursing experience and SUD experience *
Summary/Objective
Provide excellent patient care to our clients as well as adhering to the proper procedures and processes as they are outlined below. This is a nursing position that will allow for a much sought after work/life balance. This position is largely administrative, consisting mostly of pharmacy type work, with minimal standing.

Essential Functions
Record client information, generate reports, and dispense buprenorphine using multiple computerized systems.
- Remain current with changes in policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in relevant continuing education and in-service training to improve professional competency.
- Adhere to DEA and Board of Pharmacy guidelines.
- Provide emergency first aid to clients.
- Preparation, dispensing, and monitoring of medication.
- Drawing labs.
- Preparing and/or administering injections.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all facility medications.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, pill counters, calculators, printers, scanners and photocopiers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stoop as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm and Saturday’s 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This position will require a normal Saturday rotation. The hours of operation for the two locations vary slightly and will be discussed more thoroughly during the interview process.
Travel
Travel will be required, as listed above. Additional travel to other Sunrise Treatment Center could be offered in the event of an immediate coverage need. Additional pay for travel and mileage reimbursement would be given for other locations not listed in this job description.
Required Education and Experience
Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), CPR certification. Must be in good standing with Ohio Medicaid billing practices.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience dispensing medication in a medication assisted treatment program or pharmacy experience.
