POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for developing and supporting the planning, design, and execution of test plans, test scripts, and process plans for projects. The position will work closely with various departments to perform and validate test cases based on functional requirements and recommend changes to predetermined quality guidelines. You will be responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards and are fully functional to specifications.
To be successful as a quality analyst, you must be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and have analytical and problem-solving abilities. The ideal candidate must be able to interpret and implement quality assurance standards and provide accurate and comprehensive feedback to colleagues based on functional requirements and testing results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement test plans for functional requirements and document testing outcomes using both manual and automated methods
- Guide and assist the formation of Sunrise’s formal testing process, especially with regard for regulatory and SDLC requirements
- Interact with development teams, project management, and business stakeholders
- Orchestrate User Acceptance Testing to ensure adequate sign-off of product functionality
- Proficiency in test case creation, execution, and organization based on functional requirements
- Mastery of artifact generation to capture test execution and coverage
- Conduct regression tests to ensure existing functionality is preserved with new feature additions
- Ability to troubleshoot and investigate defects for in-house products
- Record software defects with bug tracking system and report defects to engineers for remediation
- Produce test summary reports reflecting quality metrics of software under test
- Ensure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements
- Attend planning meetings alongside engineers to offer input and questions for specific testing needs
- Proactively review requirements and acceptance criteria to acquire full knowledge of test scenarios
- Ability to inform test progress against delivery schedules

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 2 Year college degree/certificate or business-related field preferred
- 3 years of experience in a Quality Analyst role
- Knowledge of a broad range of software applications and of hardware and networks
- Strong programming knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Mastery of problem solving and documentation
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman
- 3 years of experience in the financial industry preferred.
- Experienced in organizing testing artifacts via Test Management platforms
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
For this position, the expected starting annualized salary range is between: $58,097 - $82,996 depending on experience and qualifications.
