POSITION SUMMARY
This position will manage the bank’s high-risk commercial loans including analyzing borrower financial performance, monitoring compliance with loan agreements and workout plans, development of workout plans, monitoring payment performance, preparing quarterly problem loan reports and collection activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and understanding of commercial loan structure, business loan agreements, have a high aptitude in business financial analysis and previous experience working with high-risk commercial loans. Local candidates preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Portfolio Monitoring & Loan Compliance
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of borrower and guarantor financial performance.
- Perform collateral monitoring and analysis.
- Ensure loan documentation is complete, accurate, and collateral positions are properly perfected.
- Maintain updated credit files with the required financial information.
- Track financial ticklers and communicate with borrowers to obtain necessary documents.
- Process loan modifications, forbearances, and renewals.
- Monitor daily overdrafts within the Special Assets portfolio.
Workout & Collection Support
- Work with high credit risk customers ensuring loan repayments and minimizing losses to the bank.
- Developing, coordinating, and monitoring workout plans.
- Support foreclosure and repossession processes on delinquent loans, coordinating with legal counsel as needed.
- Monitoring lawsuits related to delinquent loans.
- Prepare and issue default letters, coordinating with internal and external legal teams as needed.
Problem Loan Reporting
- Prepare quarterly problem loan reports, including financial and risk rating analysis.
- Support the coordination and documentation of quarterly problem loan report meetings.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- College degree in business related field preferred.
- Previous financial industry or accounting experience required.
- 5 years of previous credit experience required.
- Prior commercial workout/collection experience preferred.
- Comprehensive skill set in the use of the following software applications: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, Abrigo Sageworks.
- Prior experience as a Portfolio Manager, credit analyst or Commercial loan officer preferred
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The expected starting annualized salary range DOQ is $81,749 - $116,784
