Job Summary:
We're seeking a Line Cook to join our team at the Oakway Pub in Eugene. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals that meet our exacting standards.
You will be responsible for food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining sanitation standards. To succeed in this position, you should possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.

Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare food according to our standard recipes, including cleaning and cutting ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts, appetizers, and snacks.
- Cook food items using various methods such as grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking techniques to specified recipes and standards.
- Plate prepared foods to ensure presentation meets our high standards.
- Collaborate with servers to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain a clean kitchen environment, wash equipment, and store it properly at the end of shifts.
- Ensure kitchen operations adhere to food safety standards and regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements & Skills:
- Fully qualified Food Handler's Permit
- Culinary school training or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience as a line cook is advantageous.
- Manual dexterity required for operating cooking tools like knives.
- Prior knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods is ideal.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
- Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
