Sunriver Brewing Company is a family-owned business founded in Central Oregon in 2012. Almost 300 team members represent three pubs and a brewery located in Central Oregon with an additional pub in Eugene. We are dedicated to awesome craft beer, delicious food, and engaging service. We're looking for a Host/Busser to join our team and operations at our Oakway Pub in Eugene.
Host/Busser - Position Summary:
The Host/Busser is committed to ensuring high-quality customer service and the capacity to handle the pressure of restaurant work. To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with servers, cooks, and other staff. We are looking for someone who is excited to get a great start or continue their path in the craft beer industry.
Host/Busser - Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Greeting customers as they walk into the restaurant
- Guiding guests to their table
- Giving guests accurate wait time estimates and seating them in the waiting area
- Providing customers with menus
- Optimizing seating at different tables to ensure an even workload for wait staff
- Answering phones
- Managing to-go orders
- Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning tables.
- Protects the establishment and guests by adhering to sanitation and safety policies.
- Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean, replacing damaged or soiled pages.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed.
- Cleans tables.
- Carry loads of soiled dishes to the dishwasher to be cleaned.
- Supports waitstaff by setting up and replenishing condiment stands and busser stations.
- Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables, sweeping and vacuuming floors, and removing trash from the facility.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
- All other duties as assigned.
Host/Busser - Job Requirements & Skills:
- Prior customer service experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- Positive attitude and interpersonal skills
- Good phone etiquette
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Eye for details.
- Ability to lift 20 lbs. or more.
- Willing to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends, including holidays is required.
